On-site visits for your horses. *Limited diagnostics at this time*
At-home euthanasia
Small animals and select exotic species. Must coordinate your own after-care needs.

About Firefly
Firefly Veterinary Services, LLC is a privately owned mobile service owned and operated by Dr. Madeleine Arndt. Dr. Arndt is a LaPorte native and a 2025 Purdue DVM graduate. She currently works full-time at a small animal clinic. Thanks to her horsemanship hobbies outside of work, she discovered a desperate need for equine care in the area and thus started this project. The core idea for Firefly Veterinary Services was born from the desire to provide compassionate, affordable, and detailed care to patients in a community that needs more veterinary care options.

Mobile Care
Bringing veterinary services directly to your home or farm for your pets’ comfort and convenience.
PLEASE NOTE: Availability is limited at this time as I work full-time outside of Firefly. Please plan ahead and be patient. Services are also limited at this time. This is a brand-new, personally funded mobile service.
Payment due at time of service.
Equine Visits
- Annual exams and vaccinations
- Lameness exams with flexions
- Health certificates and Coggins
- Note: No x-ray abilities, no dental work, and you must supply someone to restrain your horse.
Small Animal Services
- Annual exams and vaccinations
- Non-urgent sick visits
- Medications and written scripts
- At-home euthanasia (after-care not included)
- Note: Limited diagnostics and treatments available at this time (no radiographs, limited bloodwork)
- If your pet becomes too stressed or aggressive during the visit, the appointment will be rescheduled and sedatives will be prescribed.
